IASSW-UNAIDS Joint Publication: Getting to Zero: Global Social Work Responds to HIV

In celebration of World Social Work Day (21 March) we are delighted to announce the publication of  Getting to Zero: Global Social Work Responds to HIV. The 18 chapter e-book is a joint project of the International Association of Schools of Social Work (IASSW) and UNAIDS, and will be launched in Geneva on WSWD. The e-book includes examples of outstanding social work practice, research, and policy analysis from Brazil, Canada, the Caribbean, Ethiopia, Germany, India, Mozambique, Romania, Scotland, South Africa, sub-Saharan Africa, Ukraine, United States and Zimbabwe. Abstracts for each chapter are provided in English, Chinese, Spanish, Japanese and French, as well as German, Portuguese and Ukrainian in relevant chapters. The book’s regional editors include Vincent Lynch (North America), Vimla Nadkarni (Asia), Hernando Muñoz Sanchez (Latin America-Caribbean), Tetyana Semigina (Europe) and Vishanthie Sewpaul (Africa and Middle East) (all from IASSW), and David Chipanta (from UNAIDS). I have been privileged to serve as editor-in-chief.Profound thanks to Massey University Press who designed, produced and painstakingly copyedited the publication.
