Dear Colleagues with Interests in International Social Work,

As part of our CSWE-Fulbright relationships, we received a request to assist in outreach to find a suitable Fulbright Specialist Scholar who has expertise in Social Work and Information Technology, who is interested in applying for the following project in South Africa: . The Fulbright Specialist Program (FSP) seeks a highly qualified individual to serve as a Specialist to help staff at the Tshwane Leadership Foundation develop a single integrated digital data management tool to streamline the assessment, documentation, and tracking of each case of individuals experiencing homelessness who utilize the organization’s programs and strengthen the organization’s overall impact on the community. This project, “Preventing and Ending Homelessness in the City of Tshwane” would involve one approximately 6-week visit to Tshwane, South Africa. The Specialist would travel in Spring 2020 – project dates can be flexible depending on the chosen candidate’s availability.  Applicants must be U.S. citizens and the deadline to submit a brief statement of interest and CV/resume for this project is Tuesday, November 12, 2019 – further details and application instructions are included in the attached announcement. If you are selected as a candidate for the project, please note that at that stage you would submit an official application to join the Fulbright Specialist Roster in order to finalize your match to this project.

Please note that the Application Deadline is November 12th — However, Ashley Bryant, the Program Associate at World Learning, Fulbright Specialist Program coordinating this grant has asked that qualified social workers (academics and experienced practitioners) who are interested send in at least a preliminary application to indicate their intentions. and contact her directly. World Vision will then assess if they can advise potential applicants to complete an application, even if the final one comes in after the deadline. Please feel free to circulate this email and flyer through your networks.

Anyone interested can contact Ashley directly (Phone: 202.464.6734 | Email: ashley.bryant@worldlearning.org).

Additional information about the Fulbright Specialist Program is at: https://fulbrightspecialist.worldlearning.org/

When contacting her, It will be very helpful if you mention that you are responding to this opportunity as a result of outreach through CSWE.
