The Canadian Association for Social Work Education : COVID-19

 

The Canadian Association for Social Work Education – l’Association canadienne pour la formation en travail social (CASWE-ACFTS) is a national, charitable, association of university faculties, schools, departments, and modules offering social work education in Canada.

March 13, 2020 – Given the challenge of dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic and the evolving public health threat, the Executive Committee, on behalf of the Board of Directors of CASWE-ACFTS is assessing rapidly changing information in an effort to implement measures to safeguard the health and well-being of staff, volunteers and the broader community. As a response to the spread of Covid-19 and in the attempt to minimize its spread and work towards the safety of our community, we have decided to promote and support social distancing. This has implications in several areas of the Association’s functioning.

COVID 19 – CASWE-ACFTS CONFERENCE 2020, AGM AND CONSTITUENCY GROUP MEETINGS

April 1, 2020 – The Federation of the Humanities and Social Sciences made the decision to cancel its face-to-face Congress at Western University in June 2020 and move to a virtual event. After careful consideration, the CASWE-ACFTS Board of Directors has decided not to participate in the virtual Congress and to cancel the Association Conference for 2020.
