This Special Issue will create a space to bring a set of papers together that will contribute to advancing knowledge, dialogue and understanding of social work education in Africa, now and in the future. The papers will explore current challenges and prospects, offer reflection on the journey so far, and on what makes African social work education unique and distinct.
We encourage the submission of papers that re-imagine social work education in Africa, support new thinking, and provide empirical research to inform and frame new directions. We invite social work academics and practitioners to submit an abstract for this Special Issue, and welcome empirical, conceptual and/or theoretical papers.
We invite the submission of abstracts to the Special Issue Editors, of not more than 300 words, for consideration by 16 August 2021.
