The Department of Social Work, Faculty of Sociology and Social Work, the University of Bucharest in collaboration with the Association of Schools of Social Work in Romania (ASSWR) are organising the 8th edition of the Social Work International Conference (SWIC) to be held between October 31st and November 1st, 2024 in Bucharest, Romania.
This year’s theme, Building Bridges: Fostering Collaboration in Social Work Practice, Education and Research, aims to explore the power of collaborative efforts across various areas of social work and connected disciplines.
The streams of the conference are divided based on the 5 focus areas:
- Collaborative efforts through intersectoral collaboration
- Collaborative efforts through community engagement and empowerment
- Collaborative efforts for advocacy and policy development
- Collaborative efforts in the area of social work and technology
- Collaborative efforts in social work practice, education and research (miscellaneous)
